If you are using post then you can send a cheque (payable to J A Hobbs) with the order.
If using E-mail then I don't mind waiting until you have received the mallet before you send me a cheque.
Electronic transfer (BACS) to my account is even better - I will send you the necessary details.
If you want to send a personal cheque in another currency (apart from US$) then I have to pay £8 to negotiate it and the exchange rate will have to be fixed at the time. It may be cheaper for you to get a sterling cheque locally, but not necessarily as convenient, or use Paypal.
Paypal – I send you an email invoice, but it costs me 4% (£6) for the service, which I add to the invoice. You pay Paypal with your credit card. It may nevertheless be cheaper than a sterling check from your bank.
In the USA I can accept dollar checks, but you should make them out to my niece in Austin, Texas and send them directly to her, once I have told you the total cost, including freight.
I guarantee the mallets for one year against any fault, given reasonable treatment and this includes not storing the head in anything warm and dry like an airing cupboard. After one year I will make a reasonable compromise offer for a repair or replacement with a financial contribution, depending on what has occured.
