Mallet construction

The diagram shows a cross section through a mallet head and the connection to the shaft. The lead cylinders are of a length that my computer calculates will be needed to bring the head weight up to whatever is required, after allowing for the weight of wood lost in making the two 35mm diameter holes. The screw at the bottom pulls the tapered bit of nylon into the head and the tighter the screw the more difficult it is to rotate the handle, until finally, with not too much tightening, the handle won't move.
