Grip styles - "standard" grip

Below are the ways in which I suggest you can set the angle of the handle in the head. On top of the handle is an indicator showing the long axis and the short axis. As you can see, if you have the long axis exactly at right angles to the direction of aim and you hold the mallet in the standard grip it points about 15° out. Twisting the handle through 15° enables you to hold the handle in exactly the same comfortable way, but now the head points straight ahead. This is the way I have my mallet and it has improved my hitting no end.

Held in the standard grip, but the head points about 15° to the left.

Held the same, most comfortable way, but now the head points straight because the handle has been twisted in the head.

Long axis at right angles to line of aim.
